I was so much on auto-pilot when processing the images from my last outing, that I accidentally posted this same image in it's original crooked form.

So here it is in it's straightened-out and better cropped form. Taken at the Martin Luther King Jr. Regional Shoreline at about 100m. That's the Oakland, CA skyline in the far background, Arrowhead Marsh in the near background.

Ha Ha!!! Think we've all been there Kevin!!

It's a great picture and the setting is great too... is it better for being straightened? The jury's out on that one... but I think probably;)

Sorry to tease LOL lad.

Kidding aside, it is a matter of debate. My eye can see the rotated one lost some sharpness. This is in part because: a) rotation always induces blur, b) rotation makes the sensor noise more obvious, and c) the image was reduced a bit less so the camera noise is again more obvious.

But sheer quality aside, to me the composition is easier to look at with the horizon straight.

It did make for an interesting exercise and comparison, if nothing else. :-D

A very crisp aerial of this gorgeous TV! Fabulous dof, focus, lighting, and detail. The setting is fantastic with the city scape off in the distant. Terrific Kevin!!!
